SHIATSU: Level II Certification Course

March – December 2015 280CE’s

Thursdays: 6-10pm & Sundays: 9am-5pm            Total Hours: 280 (180 classroom + 100 Student Clinic)           

 

This course will complete Shiatsu training (except for the State’s minimum 90 hours Anatomy & Physiology) to qualify for NJ State Massage/Bodywork Licensure.   Students must have Shiatsu I 150 Hr. Certificate (from Gentle Healing) or equivalent education to enroll in course.   Students will delve deeper into the theory of Traditional Chinese Medicine by learning the Functions and Patterns of Disharmony of each of the 12 major organs, as well as, more advanced methods of assessment and treatment skills.     Instructor:  Deborah Overholt, AOBTA® Certified Instructor.

 

A Certificate of Completion for Shiatsu II Certification will be issued upon completion of this course. The Student will be eligible to apply for State Licensure to practice Shiatsu (with proof of 90 Hours of A&P requirements).

Review of 4 Exams, Yin/Yang, Constitution/Condition, 8 Principles/6 EPIs, Side Shiatsu – 4 hrs

Introduction to Visual Assessment, Principles of Assessing eyes/ears, applying assessment to Const./Cond. and Side Shiatsu – 4 hrs.

Visual Assessment of mouth, teeth, tongue and face areas, integrating assessment into session – 4 hrs

Energetics of Food, Herbs, review Hara work and stretches – 4 hrs

Combining visual with Constitution, 8 Principles/6 Evils;  Macrobiotic home remedies, including preparation and application of Ginger Compress – 8 hours

 

Month 2: April 2, 9, 16, 23 & 30, 2015: 6-10pm + April 26, 2015: 9am-5pm (28 Hours)

Macrobiotic perspective of colds, flu, hypoglycemia; Review for Exam – 4 hrs

Exam; Law – 4 hrs

Emotional Releases  – 4 hrs

Tonification/Sedation points; Extraordinary Vessels – 4hrs

PAYMENT OPTIONS:

Payment may be made in full or you may make monthly payments.

FULL PAYMENT:  After completing the enrollment form below, full payment can be made either by PayPal or a Credit Card (Visa / MasterCard / American Express- accepted). MONTHLY PAYMENTS:  Monthly Payment Contract must be signed in person along with a down payment of $500 which must be received at least 1 WEEK prior to the beginning of course so that we have time to prepare materials for the class. Monthly payments will be due the 1st of every month for $450 / month for 8 months with a final payment of $400 due on the 1st of Month 9.

All payments must be received in full in order to receive your Certificate of Completion.
